Service Agreement Information

#What an engagement looks like

Every piece of work is covered by a written agreement between you and CHEFFUSION TECHNOLOGIES LLC, referred to on this site as Cheffusion Technologies, before it starts. This page explains what those agreements normally contain, so there are no surprises at signature stage.

#Engagement models

Fixed scope, fixed price. Suited to work that can be specified in advance — a defined site, a defined integration, an audit. The specification is agreed in writing and changes to it are handled through a change process, priced before they are accepted.

Time and materials. Suited to work where the priorities will legitimately change as you learn from real usage. Billed against actual time at agreed rates, with a cadence of review so spend is never a surprise.

Retained capacity. An agreed amount of engineering capacity each month for continuous improvement. Suited to a live product with a roadmap rather than a project with an end.

Support and maintenance. Ongoing responsibility for a live system: patching, monitoring, backup verification and fault correction, with response targets written into the agreement.

#What we commit to

  • Named people, not an anonymous pool. You know who is doing the work.
  • Working software in an environment you can open, early and throughout.
  • Written estimates, and a warning as soon as we believe one is at risk — not at the deadline.
  • Code, infrastructure definitions, pipelines and documentation in a repository you own.
  • No lock-in through obscurity. If you take the work elsewhere, everything needed is in the repository.

#What we ask of you

  • A named decision-maker who can answer questions within a working day or two.
  • Access to the people who actually do the process we are automating.
  • Timely access to third-party systems, credentials and environments we need.
  • Feedback on demonstrated work within the agreed review window, so a delay on one side does not silently become a delay on the other.

#Change

Scope changes are normal. What is not normal is scope changing without anyone noticing until the invoice. Changes are written down, estimated, and accepted or declined before work on them starts.

#Ending an engagement

Either party may end an engagement on the notice period in the agreement. On completion or termination, and on settlement of outstanding invoices, we hand over everything: source code, infrastructure definitions, credentials, documentation and any data we hold on your behalf. We do not hold work hostage.

#Terms specific to each engagement

Notice periods, payment terms, rates and warranty provisions are specific to each engagement and are set out in the agreement itself, which we send to you for review before any work starts. Unless an agreement says otherwise, our agreements are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Fixed-scope packages ordered through this website are also covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
