Retail systems fail at the seams. The website says two in stock, the till says none, and the marketplace listing is a day behind both. Most of the value we add is in deciding which system is authoritative for each piece of data and building the reconciliation that makes disagreement visible instead of silent.
We hold no accreditation in this sector and do not claim any. Where an engagement touches a regulated activity, the obligations that apply are defined by your own legal and compliance advisers; our part is to build a system that can evidence what they require.
None of these is unusual, and none of them is a failing. They are what the work in this sector tends to look like before anyone touches it.
Built for the devices your users own, not the one on the demo stand
One codebase where that is honest, two where it is not
One component library instead of eleven versions of a button
Environments described in code, sized for the organisation you actually are
Somebody responsible for the platform on a Sunday
Sector familiarity gets us through the vocabulary. The part that decides the shape of the work is how your organisation does the thing it does — which is the part we would rather hear from you than assume.
We read every enquiry ourselves. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and tell you what to look for instead.
